About the Role and the Company

AIG Insurance Management Services is in search of a seasoned captive insurance expert to represent our operations in Vermont. Your primary focus will be on delivering outstanding customer service while upholding AIG's esteemed reputation within the captive management sector. The ability to achieve results in a professional business environment is essential.

Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Financial Analyst, you will manage a select portfolio of captive insurance entities while assisting colleagues with larger portfolios. You will act as the primary liaison for all captive operations, overseeing the preparation of financial statements and ensuring regulatory compliance for captive owners.

This role requires the development and maintenance of robust relationships with clients, regulators, captive directors, and essential service providers. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional customer service, being responsive, and fostering a collaborative work atmosphere.

  • Client Management: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, prepare financial statements, and ensure captives meet all regulatory obligations accurately and punctually.
  • Non-Routine Client Management: Address special client requests, including modifications to business plans and preparation of financial proformas. Proactively communicate any non-standard changes to reviewers and seek guidance as needed.
  • Communication/Relationships: Oversee daily communications with clients and service providers regarding captive business operations and insurance programs. Collaborate with various professionals, including domicile regulators, auditors, actuaries, and legal advisors.

Requirements for Success

  • Detail-oriented experience in accounting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or CPA preferred – Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements.
  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • Capability to complete tasks independently.
  • Willingness to contribute to special projects as needed.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
