Sterile Processing Technician Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, decontaminate, re-sterilize, and maintain essential inventory of surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Collaborate with OR staff to ensure equipment/instrumentation readiness.
  • Maintain detailed documentation logs of reprocessed instruments and equipment.
  • Assist with inventory management and reordering of supplies.
  • Prepare preference cards and pick supplies and instrumentation for surgical cases.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least Three (3) years direct experience performing all Sterile Processing functions within an operative setting.

Certificate:
Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)
