Clinical Nursing Manager for LifePath Hospice

Position Overview:


The Clinical Nursing Manager (CNM) plays a pivotal role in overseeing all patient care activities conducted by the clinical team. This position involves comprehensive personnel management and ensuring the highest standards of care are met.


Essential Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related discipline, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • A valid RN license in the state of employment, including multistate/compact licenses as applicable.
  • At least three (3) years of nursing experience is required.
  • A minimum of one (1) year in a supervisory or management role is preferred.
  • Current BLS certification for healthcare providers from recognized organizations.
  • Experience in oncology, hospice, or home health settings is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in geriatric care is preferred for Nursing Home Managers.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and comply with company vehicle policies.
  • Strong skills in fiscal management, communication, interpersonal relations, problem-solving, and leadership.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Capability to navigate various home environments, including stairs and confined spaces.
  • Emotional resilience to support terminally ill patients and their families.
  • Physical ability to perform essential job functions, including lifting and mobility tasks.

  • Supervise clinical staff to ensure efficient and effective patient care delivery.
  • Facilitate patient care conferences to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Assist in assessing patients' clinical needs and appropriate care levels.
  • Lead weekly interdisciplinary group meetings as necessary.
  • Provide feedback and monitor clinical staff performance through audits and visits.
  • Ensure seamless coordination of patient care among all stakeholders.
  • Administer nursing care to maintain clinical competence and assess patient needs.
  • Collaborate with management to align staffing with budgetary requirements.
  • Work with various departments to meet all patient care needs.
  • Ensure timely completion of all regulatory compliance processes.
  • Address patient and family concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
