  • Clean and maintain building floors, walls, and surfaces
  • Empty trash and recycling receptacles
  • Restock and replenish washroom supplies
  • Clean and polish furniture and fixtures
  • Dust and vacuum surfaces
  • Mix and apply cleaning solutions
  • Steam-clean and shampoo carpets
  • Strip, seal, and finish floors
  • Conduct minor handyperson tasks
  • Monitor building security and safety
  • Move heavy furniture and equipment
  • Remove snow and ice from sidewalks and parking areas
Working Conditions

The Janitor will work in a fast-paced office environment and may be required to work in outside weather conditions. The position requires long periods of standing, walking, and physical activity.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two years' relevant experience preferred
  • Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures and chemicals
  • Ability to read and understand labels and instructions
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
