Position Overview: The Guest Services Representative plays a crucial role in delivering attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all visitors during their stay. This position is essential in maximizing room revenue and occupancy rates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to guest inquiries regarding local attractions, dining options, and transportation.
  • Adhere to all cash handling and credit policies.
  • Maintain awareness of all rates, packages, and special promotions.
  • Familiarize oneself with all in-house groups and events.
  • Stay informed about closed-out and restricted dates.
  • Gather necessary information when processing room reservations and follow established rate-quoting procedures.
  • Understand hospitality terminology and practices.
  • Be knowledgeable about emergency procedures and assist as needed.
  • Handle check-ins and checkouts with a friendly and efficient demeanor.
  • Utilize proper communication etiquette when interacting with colleagues.
  • Comprehend and operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system.
  • Complete all tasks on the shift checklist promptly and efficiently.
  • Conduct bucket checks, room rate verification reports, and housekeeping reports.
  • Balance and prepare individual paperwork for shift closure according to company standards.
  • Promote and maintain guest programs and special offers.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist guests with safe deposit box services.

Compensation Range: $18.50 to $19.50

Qualifications:

  • Relevant college coursework is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proficiency in computer systems is necessary.
  • Experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to listen to and address concerns raised by guests and colleagues.
  • Capable of multitasking and prioritizing departmental functions.
  • Approach all interactions with guests and staff in a courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Regular attendance in compliance with company standards is required.
  • Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
  • Comply with company standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Maximize productivity and assist in identifying and implementing solutions to challenges.
  • Effectively handle problems, including anticipating and resolving issues as necessary.
  • Understand and apply complex information from various sources to meet objectives.
  • Be willing to cross-train in other hotel-related areas.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
