The Data Engineer Team Lead Java Senior Vice President is a senior management level position responsible for managing a team of professionals to accomplish established goals and objectives.

The role requires hands-on technical skills and the ability to influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties.

The team will work closely with the Risk Business platform, which is currently being built.

The ideal candidate will have 10 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, with expertise in Java/J2EE, SQL, and experience managing small to mid-size teams.

The candidate will also have experience with enterprise development solutions in OpenShift container orchestration cloud platform utilizing Kubernetes and Spring Boot components.

Additionally, the candidate will have an in-depth understanding of Big Data technologies such as RDD, Data frames, dataset within Hadoop, Spark framework (Spark API) and distributed databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring essential procedures are followed, contributing to defining standards, and providing evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations.

The role will also involve managing a team of professionals, providing strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning, and monitoring end results.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a Master's degree preferred.
