Key Responsibilities:- Staff Management: Lead and supervise nursing staff, offering guidance, support, and conducting performance assessments.
- Patient Care Quality: Maintain high standards of patient care through effective nursing practices and compliance with clinical protocols.
- Operational Oversight: Manage daily nursing department operations, ensuring effective and efficient workflows.
- Training and Mentorship: Identify educational needs and provide continuous training and development opportunities for nursing personnel.

- Experience: At least 3 years of nursing experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Licensure: Active RN license in the state of Iowa or eligibility to obtain one.
- Skills: Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with a proven track record in managing and developing nursing teams.
- Certifications: Current BCLS certification required.
The Clinical Nursing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing nursing personnel management. This role includes leading, coaching, and providing direction and support to staff. The Supervisor is expected to be visible, accessible, and actively engaged in assisting nursing staff on a daily basis.
Key Duties Include:- Quality Assurance: Actively participate in quality assurance and performance improvement projects to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Infection Control: Adhere to infection control policies and procedures consistently.
- Policy Compliance: Model adherence to hospital policies and procedures for nursing staff.
- Regulatory Participation: Engage in the development and implementation of hospital regulatory compliance measures.
- Scheduling Management: Oversee the scheduling process and make adjustments as necessary to meet departmental needs.
- Leadership: Provide consistent and fair leadership across all nursing departments.
- Effective Communication: Relay quality improvement, risk, and safety concerns to the department director and quality assurance team.
- Reporting Responsibilities: Complete variance reports or statements of concern promptly and accurately.
- Patient Care Involvement: Participate in individualized patient care by ensuring patient satisfaction criteria are met.
- Emergency Preparedness: Inform staff of emergency situations and operate within established hospital emergency procedures.
- Administrator Liaison: Notify the on-call administrator of any significant issues or unusual occurrences.
- Team Collaboration: Foster clear and positive communication with colleagues to promote teamwork.
- Patient Confidentiality: Uphold patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
