Clinical Nursing Supervisor

HireNow Staffing Inc is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nursing Supervisor to join our client's healthcare team. This pivotal role involves overseeing nursing personnel, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care while optimizing clinical operations.

Key Responsibilities:- Staff Management: Lead and mentor nursing staff, providing support and conducting performance assessments.
- Patient Care Quality: Uphold high standards of patient care through effective nursing practices and compliance with clinical protocols.
- Operational Oversight: Manage daily nursing department operations, ensuring streamlined workflows.
- Training and Mentorship: Assess training requirements and facilitate ongoing educational opportunities for nursing staff.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and accreditation standards in all nursing activities.
- Quality Enhancement: Engage in quality improvement initiatives aimed at elevating patient care and operational effectiveness.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, physicians, and hospital leadership to coordinate care and optimize resource utilization.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: At least 3 years of nursing experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Licensure: Active RN license in the state of Iowa or eligibility to obtain one.
- Skills: Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication abilities, with a proven track record in managing and developing nursing teams.
- Certifications: Current BCLS certification required.
The Clinical Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the management of nursing staff, providing leadership, coaching, and guidance. This role requires a visible and accessible presence, actively supporting staff on a daily basis.
Responsibilities Include:- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement projects to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Infection Control: Adhere to infection control policies and procedures consistently.
- Policy Compliance: Model adherence to hospital policies and procedures for staff.
- Regulatory Engagement: Actively contribute to the development and achievement of hospital regulatory compliance.
- Scheduling: Oversee the scheduling process and make adjustments as necessary to meet operational needs.
- Leadership: Provide equitable and consistent leadership across all departments.
- Communication: Relay quality improvement, risk, and safety concerns to the department director and quality assurance team.
- Reporting: Complete variance reports or statements of concern in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Patient Care Participation: Engage in individualized patient care by ensuring the use of whiteboards and other patient satisfaction metrics.
- Emergency Preparedness: Inform staff of emergency situations and operate within established hospital emergency protocols.
- Administrator Liaison: Communicate with the Administrator on call regarding any significant issues or unusual occurrences.
- Team Collaboration: Foster clear and positive communication with colleagues to enhance teamwork.
- Patient Confidentiality: Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Problem Resolution: Serve as a resource for problem-solving.
