Electrical Systems Specialist

PacifiCorp is seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable and safe operation of our electrical generating systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems, including digital and analog control systems, A/C and D/C control circuits, magnetic starters, interlock systems, alarms, annunciators, and fire protection systems.
  • Maintain and calibrate electrical equipment, including oil circuit breakers, generator complex, instrument transformers, bushings, commutators, bearings, resistors, controllers, and solid state devices.
  • Operate mobile equipment, such as forklifts, cranes, and backhoes, to install, repair, or maintain electrical equipment.
  • Train and instruct apprentices and helpers as assigned by the Plant Manager.
  • Prepare reports, including motor reports, maintenance reports, equipment readings, safety inspections, and other special reports as required by supervision.
Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3 years experience as a Journeyman Electrician.
  • Must pass IBEW local 57 examination, which includes Electrical Theory, industrial maintenance experience, and practical testing.
