Job Overview

PacifiCorp is seeking an experienced Plant Mechanic to join our team at the Kemmerer location in Wyoming. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems and associated machinery in a power plant setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair electrical systems, including turbines, boilers, and associated auxiliary systems.
  • Repair and maintain equipment, such as pumps, cooling towers, condensers, and scrubbers.
  • Perform millwright functions, including setup, alignment, balancing, and testing of machinery and equipment.
  • Work with precision tools and instruments to ensure accurate alignment and balance of machinery and equipment.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on assigned machinery and equipment to prevent downtime and emergency shutdowns.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a journeyman in machine work, pipe fitting, welding, hydraulics, pump repair, or industrial mechanics.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with additional education or training in related fields preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to lift up to 100 pounds and stand for long periods.
