Electrical Systems Supervisor

Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Electrical Systems Supervisor to join our team in Portsmouth, VA.
- Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Electrical Systems Supervisor to oversee and manage workers who modify, repair, and install shipboard electrical systems and components.
- Responsibilities: As an Electrical Systems Supervisor, you will be responsible for determining schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, monitoring employees' work levels and reviewing work performance, and investigating accidents and injuries.
- Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need a high school diploma or equivalent, 12 years of shipboard electrical experience, and a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a marine and industrial environment.
- Preferred Qualifications: It would be beneficial if you have the ability to obtain and maintain base access and the ability to obtain access to military/government installations worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage workers who modify, repair, and install shipboard electrical systems and components.
- Monitor employees' work levels and review work performance.
- Investigate accidents and injuries and prepare reports of findings.
- Compile operational and personnel records.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate maintenance policies and procedures.
- Counsel employees about work-related issues and assist employees to correct job-skill deficiencies.
- Responsible for ensuring employees charge to correct project number(s).
- Examine objects, systems, or facilities and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs.
- Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, and maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use.
- Use applicable electrical measuring instruments.
- Read and understand blueprints, technical manuals, and repair standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical control systems.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment.
- Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
