Role Summary:

As an Ortho CST at Maine Medical Center, you will play a critical role in supporting our surgical team. Your primary responsibility will be to assist surgeons during orthopedic procedures, including complex joint surgeries and trauma cases. You will also be responsible for training and orienting students and new staff members, ensuring they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Providing exceptional support to surgeons during orthopedic procedures
  • Training and orienting students and new staff members to ensure they meet the necessary standards
  • Navigating multiple vendors during cases to ensure smooth operation
  • Maintaining a clean and safe operating room environment at all times

Essential Qualifications:

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ortho CST
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
