Critical Care Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Maine Medical Center. As a key member of our Level One Trauma Center, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the operating room, while also training students and orientees.
About the Role:
As a Critical Care Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, including those requiring complex joint revisions and orthopedic poly trauma care. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping us provide exceptional patient outcomes and ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care possible.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care in the operating room, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care
- Train and mentor students and orientees in critical care orthopedic nursing practices
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and hospital efficiency
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Level One Trauma Center
- CNOR certification preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
