The primary responsibilities of this role at the full working level include:
  • Identifying potential and existing issues, analyzing probable causes, and providing solutions.
  • Conducting research on various topics, compiling statistics and information, and presenting findings for the comprehensive scope of a program or function.
  • Monitoring, reviewing, and assessing operations and their interactions with other functions concerning workflow, redundancy, or systemic issues, and offering recommendations to higher-level analysts or supervisors.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and compliance of controls by verifying their completeness according to established procedures, guidelines, and formats.
  • Updating procedures, guidelines, and controls in response to changes in higher-level procedures or as directed by analysts or equivalent positions.

Required Experience

Federal experience is not mandatory. Relevant experience may have been acquired in the public sector, private sector, or through Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement:

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-05 LEVEL: One year (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level in the Federal government. Specialized experience is directly related to the work of this position and has equipped you with the necessary competencies for successful job performance. Examples of qualifying experience include gathering and compiling data for program aspects and reporting findings to higher-level employees; monitoring and reviewing established administrative procedures and program operations; assisting in the preparation of reports and charts; and utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, and database software for document preparation and data management.

EDUCATION: A bachelor's degree or four (4) years of education beyond high school in any field from an accredited college or university may substitute for specialized experience.

OR

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of experience and education may qualify you. Options for qualifying based on a combination will be identified in the online questions.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-06 LEVEL: One year (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level in the Federal government.
