Occupational Safety Solutions Engineer

About the Role
">At Ford Motor Company, we are seeking an experienced Occupational Safety Solutions Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying technical safety standards, principles, theories, and concepts to develop approaches to solutions for a wide range of difficult occupational safety problems.
Main Responsibilities
- You will assist other team members with the implementation of plant-wide safety processes, including safety operating systems, emergency response planning, and safety training orientations.
- You will participate in regular inspections and audits to identify and assess workplace hazards, risks, and related issues of technical nature.
- You will participate and support launch activities for new projects, facilitate job hazard analysis for new equipment, and anticipate possible safety issues.
- You will lead accident investigations with cross-functional team members, apply a thorough understanding of technical principles, and assist in the development and implementation of corrective actions.
- You will coordinate with internal stakeholders for the design and implementation of training across departments on occupational safety subjects.
- You will participate in the delivery of Occupational Safety projects by leveraging your understanding of safety concepts, principles, and theories to analyze difficult occupational safety problems and design imaginative solutions.
- You will prepare Occupational Safety-specific communications and standards to encourage the adoption of safety practices.
- You will participate in continuous improvement initiatives to recommend updates to existing Occupational Safety guidelines and programs.
Requirements
- You should have a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety/Health Sciences, Industrial Hygiene, or any other related discipline, or commensurate work experience.
- You should have a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Health and Safety, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
- A Master's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety/Health Sciences, Industrial Hygiene, or any other related discipline is an advantage, as is certified professional status.

- We offer a salary grade 7 position with an estimated annual salary of around $95,000-$115,000 based on the location and industry standards.
