Brightwing is seeking an experienced Automation Systems Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for production processes. Key areas of focus include PLC programming, HMI development, and process automation.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze machine performance and requirements using PLCs
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement assigned projects
  • Develop capital investment budgets for assigned projects
  • Main interface with automation vendors for control solutions
  • Provide controls guidance in equipment selection and operations
  • Integrate and network PC's and PLC's
  • Support Controls related issues to prevent or minimize production downtime
  • Drive lean concepts throughout the organization
  • Implement process improvements to improve overall efficiencies
  • Collaborate on all controls related communication internally and externally

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Controls Engineer or Maintenance Technician
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Engineering, Programming
  • 2-4 years of experience in PLC programming for Manual Assembly Cells, Automated Assembly Cells, and Power & Free conveyor systems
  • A minimum of 2-4 years programming of Vision Systems
  • 2-4 years of experience HMI programming
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in JIT, SPD, ILVS, and Batch manufacturing systems
  • 2 years of experience with Manual and Automated Assembly Systems and Technologies
  • A minimum of 2 years of technical experience required

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
