Automation Systems Engineer

Brightwing is seeking an experienced Automation Systems Engineer to join our team.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for production processes. Key areas of focus include PLC programming, HMI development, and process automation.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze machine performance and requirements using PLCs
- Plan, coordinate, and implement assigned projects
- Develop capital investment budgets for assigned projects
- Main interface with automation vendors for control solutions
- Provide controls guidance in equipment selection and operations
- Integrate and network PC's and PLC's
- Support Controls related issues to prevent or minimize production downtime
- Drive lean concepts throughout the organization
- Implement process improvements to improve overall efficiencies
- Collaborate on all controls related communication internally and externally
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Controls Engineer or Maintenance Technician
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Engineering, Programming
- 2-4 years of experience in PLC programming for Manual Assembly Cells, Automated Assembly Cells, and Power & Free conveyor systems
- A minimum of 2-4 years programming of Vision Systems
- 2-4 years of experience HMI programming
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in JIT, SPD, ILVS, and Batch manufacturing systems
- 2 years of experience with Manual and Automated Assembly Systems and Technologies
- A minimum of 2 years of technical experience required
We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
