Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Superintendent to oversee exceptional, luxury residential developments. Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Superintendent, you will act as the on-site construction leader, responsible for executing distinctive architectural designs. Your duties will include:

  • Ensuring that all work is conducted safely, adhering to plans and specifications, and complying with local building regulations.
  • Addressing daily constructability challenges.
  • Maintaining quality control throughout the project's duration.
  • Collaborating with the project manager to create and manage the project timeline using MS Project; assisting in the estimation process during the preconstruction phase.
  • Keeping accurate records of plans, specifications, as-builts, and other essential documentation.
  • Overseeing subcontractors and all related activities, including scheduling, performance evaluation, safety compliance, submittal reviews, shop drawings, and RFIs.
  • Managing the entire field crew and enhancing supplier relationships through open and professional communication.
  • Conducting daily site inspections and maintaining a job log of all pertinent information, including personnel, owner visits, inspections, architects, hazard identification, weather conditions, and near misses.
  • Representing Dowbuilt professionally to clients, architects, owner's representatives, project managers, subcontractors, management, field staff, and community representatives.
  • Coordinating the delivery, handling, storage, and placement of materials with support from foremen.
  • Training and directing the field crew while conducting performance assessments.
  • Ensuring job site security to protect all personnel, tools, and materials.
Qualifications for Success

To thrive as a Dowbuilt Superintendent, you will need:

  • A minimum of 15 years of superintendent experience, with at least 5 years in high-end, custom residential projects.
  • Experience collaborating with architects and designers to navigate design details and constructability issues effectively.
  • A degree in Construction Management or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Journeyman-level carpentry skills.
  • Strong communication, team-building, and mentoring abilities.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of building practices and familiarity with both traditional and modern materials and methods.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project.
  • Experience with Sage 300 CRE is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
