Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mathematics Educator to join our team of dedicated professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering targeted instruction in foundational math skills to middle school students using the Primary Singapore Math curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students
  • Deliver high-quality instruction in math to middle school students, with a focus on foundational skills
  • Use data-driven approaches to inform instruction and drive student achievement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives that promote math education
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Mathematics Education or a related field
  • At least 2 years of full-time classroom teaching experience, preferably in an urban setting
  • Proven track record of improving student achievement in math
  • Strong instructional skills, including the ability to motivate and challenge students
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain a warm, strict, orderly classroom environment
  • Strong sense of personal accountability for student achievement and a belief that all students can achieve
  • Citizenship, residency, or work VISA in the United States required
  • Experience with Singapore Math preferred but not required
  • GaPSC Certification preferred but not required
  • Previous experience working with English Learners is a plus
