Job Description

Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly skilled Requirements Lead to join our team. As a Requirements Lead, you will be responsible for providing Systems Engineering leadership to ensure a disciplined system engineering approach to the definition, development, and analysis of system capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Systems Engineering leadership to ensure a disciplined system engineering approach to the definition, development, and analysis of system capabilities.
  • Work towards future BMDS capabilities such as sensor management, tasking, cueing, and discrimination architectures.
  • Participate in developing, executing, and analyzing the results of various tests of the software in a lab environment as needed.
  • Coordinate engineering disciplines in resolving system-level issues.
  • Learn, understand, and represent the point of view of the warfighters, operators, and systems owners, and ensure it is properly respected throughout the engineering efforts.
Requirements:
  • TS Clearance required prior to starting.
  • Candidate must possess an understanding of systems engineering process and principles.
  • Familiarity with the application and use of systems engineering tools for requirements management and Object Oriented requirements definition (e.g. DOORS) is required.
  • Candidate must have experience working in the space defense domain including operational and technical issues associated with specific areas of the missile defense domain such as engagement management, track management, sensor management, networks, etc.
  • Ability to analyze high-level needs and refine those needs into an integrated set of requirements that leads to a fielded product.
  • Ability to lead/perform portions of the work and direct the activities of other systems engineers.
  • Ability to work directly with multiple customer organizations and contractor organizations.
Desired Skills:
  • Candidates must have experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software, and specialty engineers to develop solutions.
  • Experience using MDNT processes and methods are desirable.
  • Excellent communications skills are required (written and oral) as is the ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
Security Clearance Statement:

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
