Position Overview:


The Field Service Specialist (FSS) reports to a Supervisor or Manager of Onsite Services and supports designated clients by managing their inventory, delivering exceptional customer service, and driving account growth through the clients' inventory management (KeepStock) program.

Field Service Specialists (FSSs) also collaborate with partners to implement sales strategies and assist clients in understanding how Grainger can address their business's MRO requirements.


Your Responsibilities:

CUSTOMER SERVICE
Serve multiple client locations with the following specific duties:
Receive and stock purchased products in designated client locations, ensuring product stocking levels by scanning for ordering purposes as inventory is depleted.
Acquire knowledge of Grainger's offerings to enhance orders through system integration.
Resolve client issues promptly to maintain and promote customer loyalty.
Follow designated routes defined by routing software tools and maintain route guides.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities in productivity, processes, and cycle times.
Comply with safety and inspection requirements of the facility where services are being provided.

ACCOUNT GROWTH
Assist in generating new orders by engaging with clients to identify additional product needs.
Inquire about client needs during each site visit and collaborate with sales partners to expand Grainger's offerings.
Participate in quarterly reviews with clients and sales partners to evaluate the viability of Inventory Solutions offerings.

Your Qualifications:
3 years of experience in a sales or service environment.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Customer service and sales growth-oriented.
Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
Able to handle various technical and operational issues.
Possess and maintain a valid driver's license in the state of residence.
Must carry required levels of automobile insurance.
