Job Summary: The Operations Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation equipment network. This position requires a strong ability to work directly with customers and company resources to provide timely and quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with customers to provide timely and quality service.
  • Inspect interior and exterior of trailers to ensure they are in good condition.
  • Verify customer driver's license to ensure it is a valid CDL license.
  • Responsible for ensuring that company policies and procedures are followed.
  • Perform shop work order write-ups in our system for trailers needing service.
  • Responsible for getting estimates to customers within 48 hours of initiation.
  • Responsible for performing daily tire inventory and reconciliation.
  • Responsible for coordinating the daily activity of our equipment and personnel.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree from a four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Work Environment: The Operations Assistant will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to outside weather conditions.
