Job Title: Principal Photolithography Process Engineer

At Raytheon, we are seeking a highly skilled Principal Photolithography Process Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Focal Plane Operations Process Engineering department, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing photolithography processes to support production and development products across multiple domains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support fabrication operations by providing technical expertise in photolithography processes.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of technicians and engineers in a wafer fabrication clean room setting.
  • Maintain current processes, optimize existing processes, and train in safe and efficient operations of the photolithography process cell.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for the control, development, and optimization of photolithography processes and equipment.
  • Maintain statistical process controls for process optimization; troubleshoot and resolve photolithography issues supporting the manufacturing process and improve work center process yields.
  • Research new suppliers and technologies for improving production, quality, end cost, and throughput.
  • Partner with mask design teams and device design engineering teams to define and prove in new photo masks.

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and a minimum of 8 years' experience as a Process or Manufacturing Engineer in an Optics, Electro-Optics, and/or Microelectronics environment.
  • Experience with photoresist coaters, steppers, and/or developer equipment.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US Government issued clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with sustaining existing photolithography processes to meet product specifications and manufacturing process flows, maintaining operating instructions for process and equipment.
  • Ability to solve technical problems, project ownership, meeting deadlines, and multitasking.
  • Thorough sense of ownership, drive, and dedication to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to improve processes.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including technical writing for summarizing data and findings, writing process and equipment specifications, and work instructions.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
