Area Branch Operations Manager

At Airgas, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Branch Operations Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting the District Manager in improving the safety, profitability, effectiveness, accuracy, and efficiency of the Area Branch operations and logistics.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure Branch associates comply with Safety Management Systems and support the execution of Accident and Injury Reduction Plans.
- Provide training and conduct audits on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and share results with DMs/AVPs.
- Measure progress at the branches and communicate with the AVP and DM.
- Assist with sharing SAP enhancements, changes, corrections, reports, and other communication from functional leaders with the appropriate associates.
- Support the Company's objective to execute Airgas's Core Strategy I and II activities in the Branches and throughout the Area.
- Compile branch metrics for the branches within the District and identify and communicate results and best practices throughout all assigned branches.
- Communicate routinely regarding progress, obstacles, issues, and process improvement suggestions at the branches.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's or Associate's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of increasing responsibility in branch retail sales or branch/production operations within industrial supply, gas, equipment, or other related industry.
- Experience leading or managing a team of individuals, including coaching, mentoring, and guiding.
- Prior SAP experience preferred.
- Experience with logistics, HAZMAT, and DOT preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite applications.
- Ability to read and comprehend manuals and documentation such as material safety data sheets and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
- Considerable independent judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations.
- Analytical skills and financial acumen for articulating metrics utilized by sales and the Branches.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and to create cross-functional alignment.
