This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a qualified candidate to deliver healthcare services to patients within the cardiology department. As an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) specializing in Cardiology, you will engage with patients experiencing a range of cardiac conditions, including but not limited to ischemic heart disease, congestive heart failure, valve disorders, and arrhythmias. The primary objective of this position is to enhance and expand the cardiology services available to this patient demographic.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments through observation, interviews, and examinations.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Implement preventative health measures, screenings, immunizations, and direct patient care.
- Provide treatment and management of health conditions, coordinating with other healthcare professionals and community resources as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families about preventative health strategies, treatment options, and available community resources.
- Document healthcare delivery and nursing processes in compliance with specialty standards and organizational policies.
- Locations include multiple healthcare facilities within the network.
- A minimum of one year of experience in cardiology is strongly preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Active Nurse Practitioner credential from the Texas Board of Nursing required prior to the start date.
- Registered Nurse license from the Texas Board of Nursing required prior to the start date.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association preferred.
- DEA registration preferred.
Education:
- A Master's degree in Nursing is required.
