Lap of Love is a nationwide practice dedicated solely to providing in-home end-of-life care for pets. We believe that every pet and their family deserves a compassionate and supportive experience during this critical time.
Our veterinarians assist pets and their families with quality of life evaluations, pain and anxiety management, end-of-life consultations, and peaceful euthanasia in the comfort of their beloved home.
Position Overview:
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice, based in Lutz, FL, is seeking a compassionate and self-driven individual with exceptional communication abilities to fill the role of Veterinary Outreach Specialist.
The Veterinary Outreach Specialist will engage with the veterinary community to educate them about Lap of Love's end-of-life services for pet families, including in-home euthanasia, hospice care, telehospice, and support for pet loss.
This role involves collaboration with our veterinarians nationwide to inform new, underserved, and expanding markets about our services.
The primary goal is to build trust and educate both the veterinary and pet parent communities through visits to clinics, participation in veterinary conferences and events, and promotion via virtual and digital channels such as online meetings, social media, and email outreach during non-travel periods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to veterinary conferences and clinics across the United States (60-75% travel)
- Educate veterinary practices and their teams on the advantages of recommending Lap of Love for in-home end-of-life care
- Visit a minimum of 2 Lap of Love markets monthly and distribute educational materials to support veterinary practices and pet families
- Provide innovative ideas and insights to enhance relationships, both in-person and remotely
- Attend national conferences and events to promote Lap of Love to veterinary professionals through booths, speaking engagements, and special events
- Track and report results from visits, events, and meetings to assess the effectiveness of outreach efforts.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of outreach or sales experience, preferably in the veterinary sector
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to cultivate new relationships within the veterinary field
- Effective time management and organizational skills, with the capacity to work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), G Suite (Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Sheets), and CRM systems
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and dedicated to impactful work
- Exceptional listening and critical thinking abilities
- Demonstrate and embody the values of Lap of Love - prioritizing help above all else
- Strong leadership capabilities
This role is remote and requires the ability to work independently. Flexibility in hours may be necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.
Physical and Other Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods, up to 8 hours daily
- Frequent communication via telephone and computer technologies, including email, text, and video conferencing
- Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to operate a computer and read a screen for prolonged periods
- Average or above-average proficiency with internet and scheduling applications
- Reliable and secure internet access
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient, client, and business information
- Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and guidelines.
