Position Summary:
The Construction Project Manager will oversee the direction of craft personnel and subcontractors, ensuring the effective scheduling and sequencing of daily operations. This role involves direct interaction with client representatives to guarantee satisfaction and compliance with contractual obligations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising individual projects to ensure adherence to established quality and scope.
- Implementing and enforcing site safety, health, and cleanliness protocols.
- Proactively identifying and resolving potential construction delays.
- Managing the permit and inspection processes while conducting physical inspections to monitor project compliance.
- Maintaining and updating as-built drawings and attending regular progress meetings.
Core Responsibilities:
The Construction Project Manager will:
- Plan, coordinate, and direct new construction and renovation projects.
- Participate in Capital Project Teams to address constructability and compliance challenges.
- Assist in the development of Work Breakdown Structures with Project Engineers and subcontractors.
- Coordinate safety and training requirements for contractors.
- Supervise subcontractors and laborers, ensuring precise installation through job briefings.
- Review project assignments to optimize resource utilization.
- Conduct assessments of field changes and secure necessary approvals.
- Maintain accurate as-built drawings for historical reference.
- Ensure subcontractor compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Provide insights into project schedules related to construction activities.
- Perform inspections and develop completion punch lists.
- Investigate unplanned events to determine corrective actions.
- Utilize NFS application systems to address contractor restrictions.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess an Associate Degree in a technical field or have four years of equivalent experience in construction-related activities. A contractor's license is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience requirements include:
- 9 to 10 years in construction or maintenance with an A.S. degree.
- 13 years of experience in construction-related activities in lieu of a degree.
Compensation:
The expected salary range for this position is competitive and based on local market factors, individual experience, and qualifications. The total compensation package may include additional elements such as annual cash incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
