Job Title: Data Governance Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Consultant to join our team at Environmental Resources Management (ERM). As a Data Governance Consultant, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of data governance programs, data strategies, and data modernization roadmaps for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and delivery of complex data projects and programs
  • Consult with clients on data readiness topics related to EHS and ESG functions
  • Design and implement data governance programs, data strategies, and data modernization roadmaps
  • Develop and maintain data quality standards and data quality performance indicators
  • Support the development and delivery of data catalogues and inventories
  • Define client needs and evaluate available market solutions for data and information management
  • Facilitate management of change issues with the adoption of new information systems
Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Science, Environmental Health & Safety, Sustainability, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or Computer Science
  • 3+ years of experience in a data management/governance role
  • Experience in the Environmental Consulting or Management Consulting industries
  • Proven experience successfully supporting the development and delivery of complex data projects and programs
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of data management frameworks like DAMA DMBOK, EDM DCAM, and/or CDMC
  • Experience with data governance platforms such as Alation, Erwin, etc.
  • Experience with data catalog platforms from Collibra, etc.
  • Experience supporting facilitation of in-person and virtual workshops with the use of online whiteboarding tools
