Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and Repair Bus Systems: Use your expertise to identify and fix problems with bus engines, transmissions, and other critical systems.
  • Maintain and Adjust Bus Components: Perform routine maintenance and adjustments to ensure the optimal performance of bus components, including hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Operate and Maintain Equipment: Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other equipment to move buses and perform repairs.
  • Document Work and Communicate with Colleagues: Accurately document all work performed and communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Experience: Four (4) years of recent and verifiable experience as an automotive mechanic or heavy equipment mechanic.
  • Education and Training: Equivalent to completion of the 12th grade, plus verified completion of an external two (2) year training program in automotive or heavy-duty truck maintenance and repair from an accredited trade or vocational school.
  • Special Requirements: Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age, have a clean driving record, and be able to obtain and maintain a valid California Class A or B commercial Driver License with Air Brake and Passenger Endorsements.
