Job Description:

Job Summary:

As a Pharmacy Manager at Walgreens, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading a team of pharmacists and technicians to deliver high-quality pharmacy services. You will be the face of our pharmacy, ensuring that patients receive empathetic and personalized care, and that our pharmacy operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management, immunizations, and disease state management.
  • Lead and manage a team of pharmacists and technicians, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and procedures.
  • Manage pharmacy operations, including inventory management, workflow optimization, and customer service.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, patients, and other stakeholders to promote health and wellness.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest pharmacy trends, technologies, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree from an accredited educational institution.
  • Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
  • Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
  • At least 1 year pharmacy experience, including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance billing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supervisory experience planning, organizing, and directing the work of pharmacy staff.
  • At least 6 months pharmacy experience with Walgreen Co.
