Job Overview

Wynn Resorts' Design & Development division is in search of a dedicated Procurement Specialist to uphold and enhance the esteemed integrity and reputation of the Construction Purchasing department. This role involves close collaboration and support during the bidding process alongside the project support team.

Project Development
  • Possess familiarity with bid lists for designated commodities based on prior experience and manufacturing techniques.
  • Opportunity to visit manufacturing facilities to verify the quality of products and the efficiency of production processes.
  • Maintain reliable knowledge of project status, including budget, delivery timelines, and schedules.
  • Comprehend the complete purchasing process and understand how each function interrelates.
Project Administration
  • Participate in various project meetings and departmental updates.
  • Negotiate pricing and recommend vendors best suited for specific orders.
  • Independently prepare purchase orders and change orders with the necessary documentation and details.
  • Expedite orders placed by the project team to ensure adherence to schedules and budget constraints, including proper documentation and updates to expediting reports.
  • Effectively communicate information regarding purchase orders to vendors and project team members.
  • Manage vendor submissions with Interiors and investigate product efficiencies.
  • Execute tasks assigned by senior project team members efficiently and promptly.
  • Identify and resolve specification deficiencies and/or manufacturing challenges.
  • Manage 1-2 mid-level projects independently.
Project Completion
  • Inspect goods to uphold the high standards expected of a 5-star property.
  • Independently oversee onsite project installations by coordinating with construction management and contractors.
  • Contribute to project closeout procedures.
Staff Management
  • Supervise a project support team of 1-2 members, providing daily task direction, training, and workload management.
Qualifications
  • Any combination of education, training, or experience that equips the candidate with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in FF&E purchasing or a related field.
  • Knowledge of FF&E manufacturing processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exemplary integrity and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in a high-pressure environment.
