Nurse Residency Program for Recent Graduates

Dartmouth Health is committed to providing the best possible start for your nursing career. Our Nurse Residency Program is designed for recent RN graduates and nurses with less than one year of experience, offering a comprehensive and paid program that meets the unique needs of today's new nurses.
Program Highlights- Comprehensive program with a combination of classes, lab experiences, and precepted unit-based orientation
- Training in our state-of-the-art Simulation Center, utilizing human patient simulators to strengthen assessment, critical thinking, and clinical skills
- Ongoing professional development, teamwork, and support amongst peers and leaders

As a Nurse Residency participant, you will be responsible for:
- Participating in the comprehensive program and completing all required training and activities
- Working collaboratively with preceptors and peers to develop clinical and leadership skills
- Meeting the qualifications and requirements outlined below
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required
- For newly licensed nurses, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate's Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) is required
Required Licensure/Certifications:
- Licensed Registered Nurse in New Hampshire required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required
