Salary


The salary for this part-time faculty position in Adaptive Physical Education is based on the adjunct faculty salary schedule, with placement dependent on education and credited experience. The initial placement can range from $75.48 to $87.88 per hour, with potential for higher rates based on qualifications and experience.



Job Description


We seek a part-time faculty member in Adaptive Physical Education to join our team at SMCCCD. The ideal candidate will be committed to educating a racially and socioeconomically diverse student population, with a focus on creating inclusive and engaging learning experiences.



Required Skills and Qualifications


To be successful in this role, applicants must possess a Master's or above degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science, or a related field. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a Master's or above in a life science, dance, or health education, and completion of 15 semester units of upper division or graduate study in adapted physical education, may be considered. The successful candidate will also demonstrate cultural competence, sensitivity to diverse student populations, and the ability to assess and document student learning outcomes.
