Job Summary

The Transportation/Fleet Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods and people. This position is responsible for coordinating and directing transportation activities, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and direct transportation activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and safety protocols.
  • Manage relationships with external transportation providers to ensure required service levels are met.
  • Supervise assigned drivers, ensuring they have the necessary licenses and certifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, fuel use, and travel logs.
  • Develop transportation strategies to meet departmental goals and objectives.
  • Optimize transportation processes through regular audits and evaluations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in transportation management, which may be substituted for education requirement.
  • Class B and Class C Commercial Driver's License with P, S, and T Endorsements.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early/late shifts, weekends, and travel.
  • Pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Customer service training and background.
  • Conflict resolution training and experience.
Working Conditions

The Transportation/Fleet Manager will work in a fast-paced environment, with occasional exposure to bright/dim light, dusts and pollen, extreme heat and/or cold, wet or humid conditions, and extreme noise levels.
