Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Enbridge Employee Services Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with the Supply Chain Business Teams to complete Purchase Orders in a timely manner and providing broad or deep senior level technical expertise to support business unit contract administration requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Form, negotiate and manage the required purchase orders to support the business requirements.
  • Lead the sourcing development, bid or proposal solicitation (RFx) and evaluation process.
  • Identify efficiencies, cost reduction, cost avoidance and continuous improvement opportunities within the sourcing process.
  • Independently work on complex Procurement issues.
  • Ensure material / services are accurately acquired to meet stakeholder objectives.
  • Lead more complex investigations and analyses and provide advice to staff.
  • Act as an informal lead and SME to buyer team, address critical issues and coordinates emergency situations which arise.
  • Coordinate & lead training of new buyers in relevant categories.
  • Assist leadership with quarterly reporting validation and review.
  • Owns and maintains central PDC documentation to ensure accuracy and reflect the latest updates.
  • Participate as lead buyer in special projects & meetings as required.
Requirements
  • University degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • Seven or more of dynamically responsible and related experience in the SCM field. An additional 3-years of related experience is required for candidates who do not possess a University degree.
  • Proven communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and presentation skills, with influencing and persuasive talents.
  • Experience negotiating commercial agreements.
  • Ability to monitor and manage supplier relationships and performance with minimal direction.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Enrollment in the Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) / Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) designation program or equivalent is an asset.
  • Typical office environment.
  • Minimal travel required, e.g., project sites, domestic and foreign suppliers, warehouses, Enbridge locations, occasionally requires Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
