At Refresco North America, we're committed to putting our drinks on every table. As a Facilities Maintenance Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our production sites run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and machinery to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis to identify and resolve equipment issues, collaborating with other departments as needed.
  • Prioritize and complete maintenance tasks to meet production schedules and deadlines.
  • Operate and maintain various types of equipment, including machinery, tools, and utility systems.
  • Analyze test results and error messages to diagnose equipment problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Inspect equipment and machinery to ensure compliance with operational and safety performance standards.
  • Support the facility's food safety and quality programs to maintain compliance and achieve desired results.
  • Perform other duties as required by supervisor.
Requirements
  • Three (3) plus years' experience in industrial facilities maintenance, preferably with experience in ammonia, plumbing, welding, electrical, machine tools, and water and wastewater treatment.
  • Candidates will be required to take a Mechanical Skills Ramsay Assessment to be considered.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including holidays, as needed.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to wear a respirator and respond to ammonia alarms up to the specified concentration.
  • Must pass ammonia operator training for levels one and two at the Garden City Ammonia Program or equivalent.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to continuously stand and/or walk for extended periods on concrete surfaces.
  • Must be able to repeatedly kneel, bend, crouch, reach, climb, and/or stoop throughout the shift as needed.
  • Must be able to work on multiple levels, including catwalks, ladders, lifts, and in extreme temperatures.
