Machinist Technician

We are seeking an experienced Machinist to join our team at The Wood Companies. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for operating various machine tools to produce high-quality parts.

• Operate Vertical Mills, Surface & OD Grinders, Boring Mills, Engine Lathes, Saws, and Drill Presses to produce precision parts
• Perform machine preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
• Inspect and test produced parts to ensure they meet quality standards
• Collaborate with other team members to achieve production goals and deadlines

• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a machinist role
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of electrical wiring, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics, as well as use measuring tools such as micrometers
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
• Computer literacy and basic math skills
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
