About the Position

Savings Bank of Danbury is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for managing the security program, ensuring the safety and security of our employees, customers, and assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the bank's security program, including updating and maintaining security protocols and procedures.
  • Coordinate the safekeeping of confidential documentation and equipment.
  • Work with security vendors to maintain branch equipment and video equipment.
  • Provide security training to all employees, including in-person and computer-based training.
  • Review branch activity, including camera review and fob entry logs.
  • Review semi-annual reports to ensure branch compliance with security requirements.
  • Handle difficult customers and work with local police departments as needed.
  • Coordinate with other departments on security issues and work with facilities as needed.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in security, preferably in a banking or financial institution.
  • Strong core skills in security and conflict management.
  • Premium skills in law enforcement.
  • Proven ability to provide training, mentoring, accountability, and motivation to individuals on their team.
  • Strong communication skills to provide good internal customer service.
