About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically talented individual to lead our Cell Operations team. As a Cell Operations Manager, you will be responsible for providing direction to skilled employees, leading employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts, and driving sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to skilled employees
  • Lead employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts
  • Drive sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction
  • Perform daily supervisor responsibilities, including project management and effective communication with support group members
  • Establish work schedules taking into account customer requirements, resource availability, and other priorities
  • Provide leadership and direction with an emphasis on team building through daily toolbox meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsive to production requirements and changes
  • Demonstrate a 100% dedication to Quality, Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and continuous improvement
  • Understand and drive quality and customer satisfaction through our CORE operating system (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Engineering, Business with 3+ years of leadership experience with specialized knowledge or technical/operational practices and/or shop environment experience
  • Associates Degree with 5+ years of leadership experience with specialized knowledge or technical/operational practices and/or shop environment experience
  • OR in lieu of degree, 7+ years of leadership experience with specialized knowledge or technical/operational practices and/or shop environment experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract and only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • Experience working with all levels of management and experience in a union environment
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement principles (lean manufacturing, CORE, etc.)
