Job Summary:

The Financial Resources Specialist at Loretto is responsible for assisting residents and their families in securing government entitlement benefits. This includes Medicaid, Medicare, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), and Veterans Administration (VA) benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents and family members in securing government entitlement benefits.
  • Complete timely filing of Medicaid, Medicare, and SSI, VA applications on behalf of Loretto customers.
  • Track pending applications to ensure compliance with deadlines.
  • Conduct monthly aging review to identify residents who may need help with securing entitlement benefits.
  • Issue NAMI notifications to pending applicants.
  • Serve as liaison for facility staff in resolving resident financial issues.
  • Request application for representative payee of residents' social security, SSI, or VA benefits when appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Previous knowledge of government entitlement eligibility requirements and working experience in a similar position within a health facility, SNF, and/or Home Health desired.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office and able to learn new software rapidly.
