We are looking for a skilled Automation Engineer II to become a vital member of our Site Capacity team. This role is essential for guaranteeing that new methodologies and machinery adhere to both local and international regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with project teams on a local and global scale to ensure that process designs meet all compliance standards.
- Develop interface agreements and synchronize requirements with equipment suppliers.
- Formulate and implement strategies to sustain and enhance process control systems in alignment with production schedules.
- Oversee and manage budget allocations for system upkeep and enhancements.
- Uphold automation standards, specifications, and comprehensive maintenance plans.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) during audits and inspections concerning process control systems.
- Mentor and educate colleagues and stakeholders on best practices in automation and process control.
- Employ systematic problem-solving tools, process enhancement techniques, and project management methodologies.
- Ensure all modifications comply with stringent quality and risk management standards.
- Assist with various corporate and local IT projects and initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- At least six years of engineering experience in process-oriented manufacturing, utilities, or packaging systems.
- Proficient in PLC, SCADA, MES, Oracle, and MS SQL systems.
- Strong project management capabilities with a history of successful project delivery.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a capacity to work effectively in a team setting.
Physical & Other Requirements:
- Ability to occasionally lift equipment and/or materials weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance.
- Must be capable of lifting objects up to 45 lbs. with help.
- Ability to work in various physical positions, including climbing ladders and operating in elevated or confined spaces.
- Availability to work in environments that require hearing protection and other safety equipment.
- Flexibility to work outside of standard hours as necessary in a 24/7 manufacturing setting.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 15% of the time.
