Job Summary

As a Patient Care Supervisor at Sentara Healthcare, you will be responsible for administratively managing the hospital as the representative for the administrator on call. You will possess proficient clinical skills and serve as a resource to nursing staff, physicians, and the public. You will coordinate and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate appropriate and efficient patient placement. You will make administrative decisions (in consultation with administrator on call, as needed) in regards to potential or actual problematic situations involving the hospital. You may be responsible to coordinate patient care resources.

Responsibilities:
  • Administratively manage the hospital as the representative for the administrator on call
  • Coordinate and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate patient placement
  • Make administrative decisions in regards to potential or actual problematic situations
  • Coordinate patient care resources

Requirements:
  • BSN required
  • Previous acute care experience in nursing: 2 years
  • Nursing Leadership: One (1) year
  • Registered Nurse License (Virginia or multistate compact license)
  • BLS
