Job Summary:

As a Phlebotomy Specialist at Health Alliance, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients in a clinical setting. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Draw blood samples from patients as per physician orders
Enter physician orders into the laboratory system to produce requisite labels for specimens
Order supplies for required testing
Ensure that blood samples are sent to the laboratory as per schedule to ensure sample viability
Communicate with medical providers to clarify orders when needed

Qualifications/Requirements:

One-year phlebotomy experience preferred
High school graduate or equivalent
Completion of a phlebotomy program/course or on-the-job training in phlebotomy and minimum of three years' experience
ASCP accreditation/certification highly desirable
