Echocardiography Specialist

The Echo Technician II plays a vital role in the Torrance Memorial Medical Center's cardiovascular department, performing high-quality ultrasound examinations of the heart and related vessels. This position requires a strong foundation in echocardiography and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform 2D and M-Mode echo cardiology and color-flow Doppler studies, stress echo, and transesophageal echo procedures on adults, children, and neonates.
- Interpret and analyze echocardiogram results to provide accurate diagnoses and recommendations.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Develop and maintain proficiency in advanced structural heart procedures and imaging acquisition techniques.
- Adhere to infection control guidelines and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Prepare and transport patients for exams, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Participate in department meetings, inservice education, and policy/procedure review to stay up-to-date on best practices.
- Echocardiography graduate with RDCS or RCS certification or eligibility.
- 2+ years of experience as an Echo Tech in a hospital setting.
- BCLS or ACLS certification.
