Medical Physicist

We are seeking a highly skilled Physicist to join our team at Baptist Memorial Health Care.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of medical physics services, including specific tests, measurements, calculations, and fabrication of devices as ordered by the radiation oncologist to verify and validate the accuracy of the treatment plan using ionizing radiation.
Key Responsibilities- Verify patient information and screen patients for safety.
- Coordinate procedure/treatment plans.
- Implement procedure/treatment plans.
- Evaluate procedure/treatment plans.
- Organize and document all aspects of assigned patient care to ensure accurate and timely performance of radiation therapy procedures.
- Participate in Quality Improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards.
- Contribute to a positive work environment and the overall team effort of the department.
- Complete assigned goals.
- Board eligible in medical physics by the American Board of Radiology (ABR), American College of Medical Physics (ACMP), or Certified Canadian Medical Physics (CCMP).
- BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
- Basic computer literacy skills.
