Candidate Profile:
  • Ideal candidates should have experience in a Big4 Quality of Earnings (QoE) setting, working with private clients in the middle and lower middle market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the execution of Quality of Earnings and Working Capital Adjustment projects, providing management, direction, and task assignments to team members, while leading client communications throughout the engagement.
    • Design and develop work streams, often involving intricate quantitative analysis and detailed financial models at various levels of granularity, to drive operational and transactional insights.
    • Review and finalize financial due diligence on critical components of the Income Statement and Balance Sheet.
    • Ensure quality control of client deliverables (including Quality of Earnings reports) that emphasize key financial, commercial, and other findings.
    • Formulate adjustments based on accounting principles, as well as observations of trends in financial statements and interactions with management.
    • Review and finalize analyses on essential operational data, cash flow, net working capital, debt, and debt-like items.
    • Support junior team members in analyzing core financial due diligence.
  • Advise clients on how to integrate our reports and other deliverables into their valuation and sale, purchase agreements, and other negotiation points.
    • Lead meetings and conference calls in financial and business due diligence to assist with various investment and growth decisions.
    • Conduct detailed analyses and synthesize actionable insights from data sets and unstructured information sources.
    • Provide input on deal structure, terms, and working capital targets.
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with senior team members regarding the status of engagements.
  • Begin to engage in developing new client relationships and other business development activities.
    • Actively participate in building and maintaining client relationships and exploring business development opportunities.

Qualifications:
Candidates should possess an undergraduate degree in Accounting and a CPA license. In lieu of an active CPA, progress towards or an inactive/expired CPA will be acceptable. Ideal candidates should have 4-5 years of professional experience, including at least 1-2 years of recent QoE experience in a Big4 Transaction Advisory Services environment.

Candidates who align closely with our core values and have an interest in private equity, entrepreneurship, M&A, and transaction services will thrive at Palm Tree.

In addition to demonstrating a strong work ethic, candidates should exhibit sound technical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with BI technologies and other data manipulation tools is advantageous but not mandatory.

Compensation:

The base salary for this role ranges from $100k-$125k, complemented by a performance-based bonus. The final title and compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience and capabilities assessed during the interview process.
