Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cashier - Driver to join our team at SP Plus Corporation. As a key member of our parking operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing cash transactions, and ensuring the smooth flow of traffic through our gates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide quality customer service to our clients, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Manage cash transactions, including counting and reconciling cash, making change, and issuing receipts or tickets to customers.
  • Operate a cash register, calculating costs and displaying transaction totals to customers.
  • Quote prices for parking services and collect payment from customers.
  • Give directions to customers and provide information about our parking facilities.
  • Complete lost ticket forms and resolve customer complaints independently or with the aid of a supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the booth and surrounding area.
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure a proper inventory of necessary work aids and supplies.
  • Verify log of shift transactions against bank of revenue on hand.
  • Compile bank of collected revenue during the day and prepare shift report of transactions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; up to one month related experience or training may be acceptable.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
