Parking Cashier Job Description

The Parking Cashier plays a vital role in facilitating the flow of traffic through our gates, utilizing a quality customer service orientation to receive payment from customers and maintain the security of cash. This role requires a unique combination of technical skills and interpersonal abilities, making it an exciting opportunity for those who enjoy working with people and technology.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment processing, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Count and reconcile cash and/or validations at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Operate a cash register, calculating costs and displaying transaction totals for customers.
  • Provide clear and concise directions to customers, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company standards.
  • Verify log of shift transactions against bank of revenue on hand.
  • Compile and reconcile collected revenue during the day.
  • Record amounts received, cars in/out of facility, and cars left in facility (if applicable) while preparing shift report of transactions.
Qualifications:

This role requires a high school education or equivalent, with less than one month of related experience or training. A valid state-issued driver's license with a current address and acceptable driving record is also required.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality are also essential.
