Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our team at Atkinson Andelson Loya Ruud & Romo. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our attorneys, ensuring the smooth operation of our legal department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and revise legal documents, correspondence, and memoranda, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assemble and organize documents and exhibits for court filings, hearings, and other engagements.
  • Proofread and edit prepared materials to ensure error-free documents and adherence to firm standards.
  • Manage and maintain client files, chron files, and calendars, ensuring timely deadlines and appointments.
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling appointments, making travel arrangements, and preparing marketing materials.
  • Develop and maintain proficiency in utilizing computer and transcription equipment to produce legal documents and correspondence.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior litigation legal secretary experience.
  • Excellent typing, reading, and writing skills, with the ability to proofread and perform initial input and revisions to legal documents.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of document management systems, such as IManage.
  • Ability to type 70 wpm and operate office equipment, including computers, transcription equipment, and advanced functions on photocopiers.
What We Offer

At Atkinson Andelson Loya Ruud & Romo, we offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $98,000 annually, depending on experience.
