Role Summary:

The CNC Machining Specialist is responsible for producing precision machined components by operating computer numerical control (CNC) machinery. The standard work schedule consists of Monday through Thursday, with 12-hour shifts; includes a 20% shift premium.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load materials and operate various machines (Lathe, Mill, and/or EDM)
  • Ensure uninterrupted production of components that align with customer specifications
  • Make minor adjustments to CNC programs and replace tools as necessary
  • Conduct inspections of finished components using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, indicators, calipers, and comparators
  • Uphold quality standards through a thorough understanding of the Quality Management System
  • Monitor and document operational performance issues, providing constructive feedback to the supervisor
  • Foster and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and other personnel
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required; post-secondary education in CNC preferred
  • Proficient understanding of CNC machinery, tooling, and operational processes
  • Excellent verbal communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Meticulous attention to detail and capacity to manage complex tasks
  • Able to thrive in a customer-oriented, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive demeanor
