Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician I to join our team at Elevance Health. As a Pharmacy Technician I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify member information and input data for pharmacists
  • Educate members on pharmacy-based rules related to prescriptions and medication resources or assistance programs
  • Process prior authorization requests from physicians' offices and ensure compliance with Medicare requirements
  • Provide resolution to grievances and appeals issues
  • Respond to inquiries from physicians, sales teams, and members related to formulary and prescription benefits
  • Generate reports relating to rebates, physician utilization, Beers Criteria, Reliance members, and other ad hoc reports
  • Maintain record-keeping of prior authorizations, rebates, and monthly reports
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience
  • Current State Pharmacy Tech Certification or National Certification based on applicable state(s)
Preferred Capabilities, Skills, and Experiences
  • Call center experience with high call volumes
  • Prior authorization experience
  • Patient care experience
